We’ve been talking about it for weeks, but now we finally seem to get our hands on it. The new Mount Kimbie album Cold Spring Fault Less Youth is set for release on May 28th through Warp Records but you can already stream the entire album as of today, which is nearly as good for us.
Cold Spring Fault Less Youth is still a typical Mount Kimbie record, but for their sophomore album the young producer duo moved from the bedroom into a professional studio. Broadening their sound with drums, horns and vocal experiments. As for all the excited people out there, they’ll start showcasing their new record in the US first.

Actually we should wait three more days, but we are just too excited about it. We Are Modeselektor, the 72-minute documentary about the German techno duo will be released this Wednesday on their own Monkeytown Records. If you happen to be in Berlin these days, then don’t forget to catch the exclusive premiere tomorrow.
The movie tells the story of Gemot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary who took their pounding beats to the world. They’ll be talking about the origin of their tracks, their Monkeytown label, some bizar roadtripping and the special friendship between the two of them. You can watch the trailer below.
Not only will Modeselektor be screening the documentary at various festivals across the globe this year, they’ll also be releasing their sophomore album as Moderat on the 2nd of August. The infamous collab with Apparat is probably one of the most anticipated releases of the year already. Tasty times to come!
Gold Panda released his debut album Lucky Shiner three years ago. The album took him all over the globe, absorbing new influences and catching a lot of different environments. Its successor Half Of Where You Live is about all those various places. The man himself describes it as a “city album, a jump from location to location”.
The first stop on the album is ”Brazil”, the single is a soundtracked ride from the airport to downtown Saó Paolo. It starts off with a mesmerizing vocal sample to Big Up the colorful city, until it geadually gets lost in all the traffic and concrete jungle. Audio below.
